Targeted therapy for EGFR-mutant lung cancer with brain spread

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and have stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer.
  • Your tumor has an EGFR mutation (a specific change in the cancer cells) called exon 19 deletion or L858R.
  • You have brain metastases (cancer that has spread to your brain) seen on CT or MRI.
  • You have not had any prior treatment for advanced lung cancer, except maybe local therapy like radiation that didn't affect the tumor you're measuring.
  • Your blood counts and organ function (like kidney and liver) are within certain limits.
  • You are willing to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
