Who can take part
- You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
- Your cancer must be a type called adenocarcinoma that has spread and cannot be removed by surgery.
- Your tumor must have a specific change (EGFR mutation) like exon 19 deletion or L858R.
- You cannot have had prior treatment for advanced lung cancer (if you had chemo or targeted therapy for early-stage cancer, it must have been completed more than 6 months ago).
- You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans, and any brain metastases must be stable and not causing symptoms.
- You must have good enough organ function (kidneys, liver, blood counts) and be in fairly good physical condition (ECOG score 0-2).
