Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a full-thickness tear of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus shoulder tendons (not a partial or massive tear)
  • You are scheduled for arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgery to repair the tear
  • You do not have other shoulder problems like instability or a torn biceps anchor that needs repair
  • You have not had a steroid or hyaluronic acid shot in your shoulder within the last 3 months
  • You do not have serious medical conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, or bleeding disorders
