Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 74 years old and scheduled for a knee replacement surgery on one knee.
  • You must be willing to use effective birth control during the study (if you or your partner could become pregnant).
  • You cannot have a history of bleeding problems, blood clots, or recent serious heart issues.
  • You cannot currently be taking strong blood thinners or certain medications like high-dose aspirin or NSAIDs.
  • You cannot have had major surgery or a serious injury in the past 3 months.
