If you are currently taking metoprolol succinate, you may be able to switch to carvedilol and help researchers find the best treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have an ICD placed to prevent sudden cardiac arrest due to heart failure, and it has remote monitoring.
  • You are currently taking metoprolol succinate for heart failure and are willing to switch to carvedilol.
  • Your heart's pumping ability (LVEF) has been below 50% in the last 12 months.
  • You have not had a bad reaction to carvedilol before.
