  • You are expected to need a breathing machine (ventilator) for more than 48 hours.
  • You are in the first 5 days of your intensive care stay.
  • You are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are not taking part in another rehab study in the ICU.
  • You have health insurance through a social security plan.
