Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have pain in the middle of your Achilles tendon (not at the heel or higher up).
  • Your tendon symptoms significantly affect your daily activities (scored below 60 on a tendon function questionnaire).
  • An ultrasound shows your Achilles tendon is thicker than 7 mm, which is a sign of tendinopathy.
  • You haven't had any previous surgery or injections (like PRP) to that tendon.
  • You are not pregnant and do not have a pacemaker or other implants that could be affected by electromagnetic therapy.
