Who can take part
- You must have non-small cell lung cancer (the most common type) with a specific EGFR gene change.
- Your cancer has spread to the lining of the brain (leptomeningeal metastasis), confirmed by symptoms, scans, or spinal fluid tests.
- You have had no more than 3 prior cancer treatments (4 or more may still be allowed in a separate study group).
- You are age 18 or older and in reasonably good health (ECOG performance status 0-2; a score >2 may still be allowed in a separate group).
- You have adequate organ function (blood counts, liver, kidneys) and no severe or uncontrolled medical conditions.
- You cannot have been treated before with high-dose third-generation EGFR pills or pemetrexed given into the spine.
