This study tests a special implant (ActivBraid) to help repair a torn rotator cuff. If you have a moderate-sized tear and haven't had prior shoulder surgery, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a full-thickness rotator cuff tear that is 1 to 5 cm long and involves the supraspinatus or infraspinatus tendon.
  • You have not had any previous surgery on the same shoulder.
  • You do not have an open worker's compensation claim related to your shoulder.
  • You do not have a frozen shoulder, advanced arthritis in the shoulder, or certain neck problems.
