Who can take part

  • You have multiple myeloma that has just been found, or your disease came back after strong treatments like high-dose chemo or a stem cell transplant.
  • Your doctor thinks you need an imaging test of your bones (like a PET/CT) to check the stage of your disease.
  • You do not have any metal implants (like a pacemaker or certain metal clips) that are unsafe for MRI.
  • You are not severely claustrophobic (afraid of tight spaces).
  • You are not pregnant.
