Who can take part

  • You had a minor stroke (score of 5 or less on the NIHSS, a measure of stroke severity) and it was your first stroke
  • You were between 18 and 75 years old when you had the stroke
  • You can provide a saliva sample for genetic testing
  • You can have a brain MRI scan
  • You have been followed by a doctor for at least 4 years after the stroke
