- You are 18 or older.
- You have severe aplastic anemia (SAA) or transfusion-dependent non-severe aplastic anemia (TD-NSAA).
- You have not yet received immunosuppressant treatment (like cyclosporine, tacrolimus, or ATG) for this condition.
- You do not have a suitable sibling donor for a bone marrow transplant, or you are not choosing that as your first therapy.
- Your liver and kidney function are within acceptable limits (bilirubin, liver enzymes, and creatinine not too high).
- You do not have certain other serious health conditions (like recent blood clots, uncontrolled infections, or active hepatitis).
