Who can take part

  • You have a condition causing instability in your lower back or upper neck (like disc problems, bone spurs, or abnormal motion between vertebrae).
  • For neck instability: you have symptoms from spinal cord compression or abnormal movement seen on x-rays.
  • You do not have a serious spinal emergency like cauda equina syndrome or progressive leg weakness.
  • You have not already failed a different spinal stabilization treatment.
