Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old.
  • You have a BMI under 35.
  • You have been diagnosed with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
  • Your resting left ventricular outflow tract gradient is at least 50 mmHg, or at least 30 mmHg at rest and rises to 50 mmHg with Valsalva maneuver.
  • Your left ventricular ejection fraction is 60% or higher.
  • You have New York Heart Association class II or III symptoms (mild to moderate shortness of breath or fatigue with activity).
  • You are willing to follow the study procedures and sign a consent form.
