Who can take part

  • You have CMML-1 (a type of CMML with fewer than 10% blasts in your bone marrow and fewer than 5% in your blood).
  • Your white blood cell count is 13 or higher (proliferative disease).
  • Your disease has advanced features, like an enlarged spleen felt below your ribs, a total symptom score of 20 or more, or a low platelet count.
  • You are able to do most daily activities on your own (ECOG 0-2).
  • Your liver and kidney function are adequate, and blood counts meet minimum levels.
  • You have not used a JAK inhibitor (like ruxolitinib) before for CMML.
  • You agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
