- You are 60 years or older
- You are scheduled for heart or blood vessel surgery that uses a heart-lung machine
- No metal implants or other reasons you cannot have an MRI scan
- You can understand and complete thinking tests (no severe hearing, vision, or language problems)
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You do not have a life-threatening illness expected to shorten your life to less than 3 months
