Who can take part
- You have a splenic artery aneurysm (a bulge in the artery that supplies your spleen).
- The aneurysm is either larger than 2 cm, has grown more than 0.5 cm in the past year, or has already burst.
- The aneurysm is located in the main trunk (largest part) of the splenic artery.
- You do not have any of these conditions: cancer, liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension, active stomach ulcers, history of bleeding stroke, pregnancy, blood disorders, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or HIV.
