Who can take part

  • Your child must be 3 to 5 years old.
  • Your child's weight must be between 5% and 85% of the body mass index (BMI) for their age and sex.
  • Your child must be having squint eye surgery (a type of eye muscle surgery).
  • Your child must be generally healthy (classified as ASA I or II).
  • Your child must not be very anxious or crying before surgery.
  • Your child must not have any behavioral problems, psychiatric disorders, developmental delays, or epilepsy.
