This study tests whether using a salt substitute instead of regular salt can help protect kidney function after kidney tumor surgery. It is for people who had a kidney removed (either full or partial) and whose remaining kidney is working well.

Who can take part
- You had surgery for a kidney tumor (either full or partial kidney removal).
- Your remaining kidney works well (eGFR above 60 before surgery and above 45 after discharge).
- You and your household eat most meals at home (over 90% of meals).
- You do not use potassium-sparing medications or potassium supplements, and have not used salt substitutes before.
- You do not have other serious kidney diseases, uncontrolled diabetes or blood pressure, or certain heart conditions.
- You are 18 or older, and willing to follow the study procedures for at least 6 months.
