  • You are 18 years or older and scheduled for a shunt surgery at the specified hospital in Strasbourg
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have an active infection
  • You are not allergic to cefazolin (an antibiotic)
  • You are not taking any other antibiotics for an infection right now
  • Your spinal fluid must be free of bacteria before surgery
