Who can take part

  • You are 60 years or older.
  • You have a condition called calcific aortic valve disease with mild to moderate narrowing (calcium buildup in the valve).
  • At a recent heart ultrasound, the pressure across your valve was between 10 and 30 mmHg and the valve area was between 1.2 and 2.0 square centimeters.
  • A special CT scan within the last month showed a calcium score of at least 200 in your aortic valve.
  • You are willing to follow the study plan and give written permission to participate.
