PCSK9 inhibitor study for aortic stenosis patients

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old
  • You have mild or moderate calcific aortic stenosis (your heart valve is thickened and narrowed but not severely so)
  • Your LDL cholesterol is between 2.6 and 4.9 mmol/L, or lipoprotein(a) is high (over 30 mg/dL), or you already take a statin for high cholesterol
  • You do not need immediate valve replacement surgery
  • You can commit to taking the study drug for up to 24 months and follow the study schedule
