Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have a cartilage defect on the weight-bearing part of your knee (femoral condyle) from an injury or other cause.
  • You have no more than 4 cartilage lesions, and your cruciate ligaments are not injured.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is under 35.
  • You have not had open knee surgery in the past 6 months.
  • You are willing to follow a strict rehabilitation program after surgery.
