Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a blocked heart artery that is either very hard (calcified) or completely blocked, and your doctor plans to treat it with a special balloon that uses sound waves to break up the calcium.
  • Your heart's pumping strength is better than 30%.
  • You have not had a major heart attack or stroke in the last month or two.
  • You do not have serious kidney disease (eGFR below 30), active bleeding, or a bleeding disorder.
