Who can take part

  • Your baby must be under 6 months old.
  • Your baby has a heart defect that needs a medicine called prostaglandin to keep a blood vessel open.
  • The stent used must be 3.5 or 4 mm wide and between 16 and 28 mm long.
  • Your baby must weigh more than 2.5 kilograms (about 5.5 pounds).
  • Your baby was born at or after 32 weeks of pregnancy.
