- Your baby must be under 6 months old.
- Your baby has a heart defect that needs a medicine called prostaglandin to keep a blood vessel open.
- The stent used must be 3.5 or 4 mm wide and between 16 and 28 mm long.
- Your baby must weigh more than 2.5 kilograms (about 5.5 pounds).
- Your baby was born at or after 32 weeks of pregnancy.
