Who can take part

  • Your child must be between 3 and 17 years old.
  • They need to have a broken wrist that doctors will fix by moving the bones back into place (called a 'reduction').
  • Your child must be in the emergency department.
  • They cannot have a body weight above the 95th percentile for their age.
  • Your child must not be pregnant (for girls who could be).
  • The type of break must be one that can be numbed with a shot called a 'hematoma block'.
