Can walking sticks help people with spine imbalance walk more?

This study tests whether using walking sticks can help people with a forward-leaning spine (sagittal imbalance) walk more and feel better. If you are 50 or older, have trouble walking due to this spine condition, and don't already use walking sticks, you may be able to join.

  • You are at least 50 years old
  • You have a spine imbalance (a forward lean) of more than 5 cm
  • You can walk for 10 minutes or about 400 meters without help, but you find it hard
  • You live at home (not in a nursing home)
  • You do not currently use walking sticks
