Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with a specific type of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), such as idiopathic, heritable, caused by drugs or toxins, or linked to other conditions like connective tissue disease, HIV, congenital heart disease, or liver disease.
- Your PAH diagnosis was made within the last 6 months, or you have been on stable PAH treatment for at least 3 months.
- You must have had a heart catheterization showing high pressure in your lung arteries (mean pressure over 20 mmHg) and normal pressure in the left side of your heart.
- You cannot have severe lung disease or have been hospitalized for heart failure in the past week.
- You must not have significant heart valve problems or a weak heart pump (ejection fraction below 40%).
- You cannot be pregnant.
