Radiation to the main tumor for stage IV lung cancer

Who can take part

  • You have newly diagnosed stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that has spread to other parts of the body.
  • Your cancer does not have changes (mutations) in the EGFR, ALK, or ROS1 genes.
  • The main tumor in your lung is suitable for radiation and you don't need urgent chest radiation for symptom relief.
  • You have tumors in 3 or fewer organ systems (like liver, bone, brain).
  • You are healthy enough to receive standard cancer therapy (like chemotherapy or immunotherapy).
