Who can take part

  • You must have a confirmed acute type A aortic dissection on a CTA scan.
  • You are between 18 and 70 years old and weigh between 110 and 264 pounds.
  • Your symptoms started less than 14 days ago.
  • Your doctor recommends total aortic arch replacement.
  • You cannot have chronic kidney failure, severe liver disease, or a history of severe stroke.
  • You cannot have had previous heart or aortic surgery, active cancer, or an inflammatory aortic disease.
