Who can take part

  • You are generally healthy or have mild high blood pressure (140-159/85-99).
  • You are between 18 and 55 years old (healthy) or 18 to 65 (hypertension).
  • You weigh at least 110 lbs (men) or 99 lbs (women) and have a BMI between 18 and 26 (healthy) or 18 and 28 (hypertension).
  • Your blood pressure is within certain ranges, measured three times.
  • You have not taken any blood pressure medication for at least 30 days (if you have hypertension).
  • You agree to avoid pregnancy or donating sperm/eggs during the study.
