Brain stimulation for cognitive flexibility in depression

This study tests whether a brain stimulation called rTMS can improve cognitive flexibility (thinking and adapting) in people with major depression. If you are between 18 and 45 years old, Han Chinese, right-handed, and have moderate to severe depression, you may be able to join.

  • You are diagnosed with major depression without psychosis.
  • You are between 18 and 45 years old.
  • You are Han Chinese and right-handed.
  • You have at least a junior high school education.
  • You have not had ECT, rTMS, or long-term therapy in the past 6 months.
  • You do not have other mental health conditions or serious medical problems.
