Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (Glasgow Coma Scale score of 4 to 12).
  • The study drug must be started within 12 hours of your injury.
  • A CT scan shows a bruise (contusion) or a bruise with a blood clot in your brain.
  • You or your legal representative must sign a consent form.
  • You do not have diabetes, very high or low blood sugar, or shock at the time of admission.
