This study looks at how a transient ischemic attack (TIA or mini-stroke) might affect your ability to use and understand spoken language. If you have had a single TIA, you may be asked to complete some language tasks to help researchers learn more about recovery.

Who can take part
- You are between 40 and 85 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with a single TIA (mini-stroke) that affected one side of your brain (carotid circulation).
- English is your first or primary language.
- You do not have other neurological conditions like Parkinson's disease, dementia, or a previous stroke.
- You have not had any speech or cognitive problems before, either from birth or later in life.
