Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for chest surgery using small incisions (VATS or robotic-assisted) for procedures like removing a lung nodule, a segment or lobe of the lung, or a mediastinal mass.
  • You have not had surgery on the same side of your chest before.
  • Your anesthesiologist is trained in ultrasound-guided paravertebral block.
  • You agree to the surgery and follow-up after the procedure.
