PET-MRI scan for Parkinson's with sleep behavior disorder

Parkinson's Disease (PD)

Part of Brain & nervous system, Mental health clinical trials.

This trial uses a combined PET and MRI scan to study the brain's reward system in people with Parkinson's disease who also have REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD). It aims to understand how the brain changes and may help guide future treatments.

Parkinson's disease prevention study

This study tests whether exercise or other trainings can slow down or prevent Parkinson's disease in people with early Parkinson's or a sleep disorder that raises risk for Parkinson's. Participants will take part in group and online sessions.

NCT06582121Recruiting
Sleep disorders in early and advanced Parkinson's disease

This study looks at sleep problems in people with Parkinson's disease, people with REM sleep behavior disorder (a condition that causes acting out dreams), and healthy volunteers. The goal is to understand how sleep is affected in early and full Parkinson's disease.

NCT07790744Recruiting
Brain imaging study for early Parkinson's signs in people with REM sleep disorder

This study uses MRI scans to look at the brain in people with REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD), a condition that can be an early sign of Parkinson's disease. By comparing them with healthy volunteers, researchers hope to find early markers of Parkinson's that could lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment.

Swedish BioFINDER Sleep Study: Brain imaging in RBD and Parkinson's

This study examines brain changes in people with REM sleep behavior disorder (acting out dreams during sleep) and early Parkinson's disease using brain imaging scans. Researchers want to understand how sleep problems relate to Parkinson's development and find early warning signs.

Imaging inflammation in Parkinson’s using PET/MR scans

This study uses special brain scans (PET/MR) to see inflammation in people with Parkinson’s disease or related conditions. It may help researchers better understand what drives symptoms and how inflammation changes in the brain.

AI predicts Parkinson's risk in sleep behavior disorder

This study uses artificial intelligence to analyze brain scans and predict whether people with REM sleep behavior disorder are at risk of developing Parkinson's disease. It aims to find early signs before symptoms appear.
