Intermittent deep brain stimulation for early Alzheimer's

Who can take part

  • You are between 65 and 85 years old.
  • You have early-stage Alzheimer's disease confirmed by a special PET scan.
  • You live at home and have a caregiver who can join you in the study.
  • You score 21 or higher on a standard memory test (MMSE).
  • Your dementia symptoms are mild to moderate (CDR global score 0.5 to 1.0).
  • You have not had a major psychiatric disorder, recent head injury, or other brain condition.
