Who can take part
- You have tested positive for at least two diabetes-related autoantibodies on two separate occasions.
- You have stage 1b or stage 2 type 1 diabetes (meaning your blood sugar is starting to rise but you don't need insulin yet).
- You weigh at least 18 pounds (about 8 kilograms).
- You do not have other forms of diabetes, uncontrolled high blood pressure, heart disease, a history of blood clots, or a serious infection.
