Who can take part

  • For the study group: children under 7 years old with a confirmed genetic diagnosis of Long QT syndrome type 1 or 2
  • Currently taking beta-blocker medication
  • For the control group: healthy children who are siblings of a child with Long QT syndrome
  • Must not have diabetes, certain metabolic disorders, or other serious illnesses
  • Must not have had any surgeries that could affect digestion or be on medications that cause low blood sugar
