Who can take part
- You must be a man between 40 and 65 years old.
- You must have type 2 diabetes with nerve pain, tingling, or numbness (diabetic neuropathy).
- You cannot be taking vitamin D or vitamin B12 supplements right now.
- You cannot have heart disease, stroke, thyroid problems, kidney disease on dialysis, liver disease, cancer, or inflammatory rheumatic diseases.
- You cannot have had a transient ischemic attack (often called a mini-stroke).
