Nerve stimulation for subacute stroke recovery

Who can take part

  • You had your first stroke (not a repeat stroke) between 3 and 6 months ago.
  • You have some arm weakness but can still move your arm a little (FMA-UE score 20 to 50).
  • You do not have any past injury or surgery on the vagus nerve.
  • You do not have a heart rhythm disorder or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • You do not have any other nerve or muscle conditions, or apraxia (trouble planning movements).
  • You do not have any implanted electronic devices (like a pacemaker).
