It is for people who have a large, non-traumatic brain hemorrhage and can have surgery within a few hours of the bleed.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 80 years old
  • You have a brain bleed that is not caused by injury, is in the upper part of the brain, and is at least 20 mL in size
  • You are not on blood thinners and your blood clotting tests are normal
  • Surgery can be started within 2 hours of study enrollment
  • You had a good level of function before the bleed (no major disability)
