Who can take part

  • You are 22 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for a TAVR procedure (a valve replacement through an artery in your leg) to fix your aortic valve.
  • The pumping strength of your heart (left ventricular ejection fraction) is at least 30%.
  • You have not had a stroke or mini-stroke in the last 6 months, and have no major disability from a past stroke.
  • Your kidneys are working well enough (eGFR of 30 or higher).
  • You haven't had a heart attack in the last 30 days.
