  • You have a brain injury that causes a disorder of consciousness (like a coma or vegetative state).
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • A family member or legal representative can give permission for you to join the study.
  • You do not have any other brain disorder (like a stroke or Parkinson's) before the injury.
  • You do not have metal implants or other conditions that prevent an MRI scan.
  • You are not pregnant, and you are not in another treatment study at the same time.
