Test of two oils on metabolism in adults with insulin resistance

Who can take part

  • You must be between 20 and 60 years old.
  • You must have insulin resistance (a condition where your body doesn't respond well to insulin).
  • You must have at least one heart disease risk factor: large waist size, low good cholesterol, high bad cholesterol, or high blood pressure.
  • You cannot have diabetes.
  • You cannot be taking certain medicines like cholesterol-lowering drugs, blood pressure pills, or omega-3 supplements.
  • You must not have had weight-loss surgery or have problems absorbing nutrients.
