Who can take part
- Adults age 18 to 60
- Diagnosed with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), OR
- Diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and have low platelets
- No immunosuppressive drugs in the past 4 weeks
- No current infections, cancer, or other autoimmune blood problems
