Dendritic cell vaccine for HPV type 6 recurrent respiratory papillomatosis

Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis

This Phase 1 trial is testing a vaccine made from your own immune cells (dendritic cells) that may help your body fight the virus causing recurrent papillomas in your voice box. It is for people whose papillomas are caused by HPV type 6, who have had at least one recurrence in the past year.

Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP) with papillomas growing in your larynx (voice box).
  • Your papillomas are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) type 6.
  • You are in good enough general health to be up and about (ECOG score 0 or 1).
  • You have adequate blood cell counts (white cells, red cells, platelets) as shown by lab tests.
  • You must not have an autoimmune disease, use high-dose steroids, or be pregnant/breastfeeding.
  • You must not have used other investigational treatments or vaccines for RRP in the past 6 months.
