Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for a first-time ACL reconstruction surgery.
  • Your surgery will be done with spinal anesthesia and a nerve block for pain relief.
  • You are in good health (ASA class I or II, meaning no serious medical conditions).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are not taking blood thinners that can't be stopped safely before surgery.
  • You have no bleeding disorders or history of seizures.
