Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been on a breathing machine for at least 24 hours due to low oxygen levels
  • Your oxygen levels are stable (above 90%) with low extra oxygen and low ventilator pressure
  • You do not have a pacemaker or history of irregular heartbeat
  • You are not pregnant, and you are not taking medications that paralyze muscles
  • You do not have severe injuries or recent surgery on your chest or belly area
