This study checks how diabetes-related nerve damage affects the feeling in your teeth and a reflex in your jaw muscle. It compares people with diabetic neuropathy to healthy volunteers using a gentle test on an upper front tooth.

Who can take part
- You are either a person with diabetic neuropathy confirmed by a neurologist, or a healthy person without diabetes or nerve problems.
- You must have at least one upper front tooth that is healthy—no root canal, no large cavities, no gum disease, and no signs of infection on X-ray.
- You cannot have taken painkillers, sedatives, or nerve medications in the last 24 hours.
- You cannot have cancer treatment, head/neck radiation, or other conditions that affect nerves (except diabetic neuropathy).
- You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
